Hybrid Cloud

The Hybrid Cloud is a combination of Public Cloud and Private Cloud. The organisation uses these two cloud environments to create a single environment, taking advantage of both models. The Hybrid Cloud offers greater flexibility to businesses by providing the ability to migrate workloads from public to private based on cost and business needs.

For example, a company could use a Private Cloud to host sensitive data, while a third party provider (e.g. AWS, Google, OVH Cloud) could host less sensitive data at a lower cost.

The hybrid model is more suited to variable needs and offers a certain scalability. In the case of a transaction system that varies according to seasonal peaks (Christmas, sales, etc.), a Hybrid Cloud makes it easier to cope with variations by basing its power on the Private Cloud, while accessing additional resources on the Public Cloud when needed.
