API

An API (Application Programming Interface) is a programming interface that links two applications to facilitate data exchange. An API is open and offered by the owner of the program or solution.

TheAPI allows the linking and use of a program, without wasting time learning a complex application. This type of interface can be found in many software or web platforms, but also in databases, Open Data, etc. Today, most web applications and software offer APIs to facilitate interaction with other environments.
